4-year (8 semesters) Bachelor's degree (full-time and part-time) in engineering

Profile of a graduate: Graduates of Power Engineering will gain basic knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, energy exchange and conversion, basic construction of energy machines, equipment and power installations, refrigeration, air-conditioning systems, as well as non-renewable and renewable energy sources, power engineering, and biofuels. Students acquire skills in design, operation, and measurement in the broad field of power engineering, gaining knowledge and skills in using computer software for modeling phenomena in heat and mass transfer, selection of equipment and other elements of renewable and non-renewable energy systems, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, power engineering, as well as production and use of biofuels.

Upon completion of the first-cycle studies, the graduate obtains:

- Authorization to prepare energy performance certificates - entry in the list of authorized persons
- Incomplete authorizations related to designing and managing construction works in the field of networks, heating, ventilation, gas, water supply, and sewage systems (additional professional practice required)

Specialization: ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERING
Graduates of this specialization have in-depth knowledge of electrical energy, its generation, and industry. They learn about methods of obtaining electric energy from renewable and traditional sources, and familiarize themselves with the construction of electrical systems.

Specialization: RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
Graduates of this specialization have knowledge in the area of RES in thermal and electrical power engineering. They learn about the operation of solar, water, wind, and geothermal energy systems. Graduates of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) specialization have knowledge of the latest technical solutions in unconventional energy.

Specialization: THERMAL POWER ENGINEERING, REFRIGERATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING
Graduates of this specialization possess in-depth knowledge of conventional and unconventional thermal energy, refrigeration, and air conditioning. During their studies, they learn about the construction and operation of systems, networks, and energy machinery, as well as refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Thermal power engineering, refrigeration, and air conditioning provide versatile knowledge enabling employment in various industrial sectors.

Specialization: MARINE WIND ENERGY (MWE)
A graduate completing this specialization will find employment in companies involved in designing, implementing, and operating systems for offshore wind energy utilization, servicing and diagnosing turbines in MWE systems, manufacturing devices for MWE, in wind and photovoltaic farms, power plants, and combined heat and power plants.

Specialization: NUCLEAR POWER ENGINEERING
A graduate completing this specialization will be prepared to work in companies involved in designing, constructing, and operating nuclear power plants, operation and diagnostics of thermal energy devices including nuclear energy, work in heating and nuclear power plants, work in companies involved in designing, constructing, and operating networks, installations, and thermal equipment, work in companies producing thermal equipment, both for nuclear energy.

Profile of a graduate: A graduate of Power Engineering has specialized knowledge in the functioning of energy machines and systems, their management, supervision, control, and certification; in the design, construction, operation, and testing of energy devices and systems; in the energy issues of regional units; preparing them for work in energy companies and local government units, service and advisory units in the energy industry, heat and combined heat and power plants as well as in economic entities and state administration where energy knowledge is essential; enabling work in various branches of production, especially those performing tasks related to energy management in industrial plants, and after completing the teaching specialization (in accordance with teacher training standards), also in education, and enables gaining installation permits (full for sanitary installations and limited for electrical installations).

Upon completion of the second-cycle studies, the graduate obtains:

  • Unrestricted authorizations for designing and managing construction works in the field of networks, heating, ventilation, gas, water supply, and sewage systems (additional professional practice required)

  • Incomplete authorizations for designing and managing construction works in the field of electrical and electrical power networks, installations, and systems (additional professional practice required)

Specialization: UNCONVENTIONAL ENERGY
Students of this specialization acquire competencies in wind, solar, and heat pump energy, as well as operation and diagnostics of unconventional energy devices.

Specialization: ENERGY SYSTEMS
Graduates of this specialization acquire knowledge and skills related to various thermal, electrical, and combined power system topics. The Energy Systems specialization offers broad opportunities for attractive employment in the energy sector.

Specialization: SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT
Graduates of this specialization acquire knowledge and skills related to energy acquisition and management. This specialization allows for acquiring broad knowledge in energy, which is useful in managerial positions and in gaining installation permits.
